He is just a senile old man that is completely out of touch with modern day football and thinks Notre Dame is the best team in the country. Plus you can’t understand a word he is saying with that lisp.
Im sorry people, but after the San Diego State vs. Notre Dame game, Lou Holtz said that he honestly thought that Notre Dame could win between 10 and 11 games this year. And he was dead serious, and yes he is funny at times. But that does not make up for his incompetence.
I cringe every time Lou Holtz opens his mouth.
Does Lou Holtz need to retire and get off of television?

ha ha…maybe. but you have to admit, since mark may loves usc and holtz hates usc, their banter towards each other is classic.
he must have really hated south carolina because he NEVER brings them up.

Uh…Dude…Its for humor…In case you didn’t know, Holtz coached ND for 11 seasons, including their last national championship team…He’s showing his loyalty in a humorous manner…Like Lee Corso often tries to for Indiana…but he’s not funny like Holtz…and Holtz is aware ND went 3-9 last season…

I think he is hilarious. And there is often a lot of wisdom in what he says as well. He is just showing his loyalty, he knows the real deal.
I would rather listen to him anyday than some of these young know-it-all turds or Lee Corso, who really needs to retire.
